Your local cigar shop charges overwhelming prices for cigars and in particular cigar humidors and cigar accessories. There are some really nice cigar humidors that can actually make for some really nice accent pieces fpr your home (I have one sitting in front of me on my desk right now) but when you get down to it they are merely a storage box to store and age your cigars and the prices some cigar shops are charging are downright insulting!

More often then not, however a disfunctional humidor is the result of a bad humidifier rather then a bad humidor. You have to remember that a cigar humidor is just a box made of a wood while the humidifier element inside the humidor is actually what regulates the humidity level inside the humidor and this is ultimately what determines the freshness of your cigars when you pull them out of your cigar humidor.
